Tesla C2075 not detected by Nvidia control panel after installing Driver 275.89

Me and my friend brought two Tesla card for one of our HPC project. To my surprise after installing the new driver (Win7 64bit) for the Tesla C2075 compute board, Nvidia Control Panel won't start and gives out an error "You are not currently using any Display attached to an Nvidia GPU". But the windows device manager was listing it properly as a working card and there was no error in the system logs. It was really puzzling.

After some time fiddling with the settings and Googling I found this Autodesk forum, which says that by default the new Win 7 driver sets TCC bit ON. So I started a command line in administrative mode and navigated to C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI folder and issued the following command to disable the settings.

nvidia-smi.exe -dm 0

A reboot was required. And guess what the control panel started working as it was supposed to. Woooh ! it was a great relief coz I thought the board might have gone bad.

  8. This solution works out well with the most of cases, I see. But suddenly it just popped blank error report right in my situation right after rebooting the PC. I wandered through many of tech forums and got zero feedbacks of anyone who although faced this issue. Then I thought that it can be drivers issue apparently so I managed to dowloand NVidia drivers http://driverscenter.com/manufacturers/nvidia from this site. It's not the offical NVidia's website, but the download speed here was way more faster, so I didn't care. And right after reinstall everything become the way it supposed to be all the time! So if you have some kind of errors in that case, check out for GPU drivers firstly!

  9. Thanks.
I have a Nvidia Tesla C2075 taken from HP workstation and mounted into my PC.
The driver was installed by Windows 10, but screen resolution wasn't correctly found and had to use 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.
I only had one option in Nvidia Control Panel: Workstation -> Manage GPU utilization.
I have disabled TCC by issuing "nvidia-smi.exe -dm 0" and after rebooting the card is properly recognized, everything seems to work.
    Thanks for your post!

  10. These seem to have been put to great use, with the Model S presently flaunting three battery alternatives; a 300kW, or 400 hp, yield; and an accusing model perfect of 110 volt standard outlets, 220 volt outlets, and quick charging stations. cars and trucks for sale
